Help FICRA Update The Fox Island Phone Book
Volunteers are needed to get a head start this year on updating our "little" local Fox Island phone book. This book is for island residents only, and is not made available to the general public. If you are a member of FICRA, you can pick your phone book up at the annual Fox Island fair. We need help in identifying changes in names and numbers. Please e-mail us with any changes, additions, etc. to your listing. If you want to put your ad in the phone book, it must be ready to print and sent to us by e-mail.
If you would prefer a phone number only in the book and no address, please let us know this also.
Thank You!

Island Days 2009
Saturday, July 18, 2009
1 - 5:00 PM
Saturday, July 18 Hours: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sponsored by: Fox Island Museum, Chapel on Echo Bay, FICRA
Mark your calendars for July 18 for Island Days 2009. Island Days will feature activities for inexpensive family fun, learning about Fox Island pioneers, and community interaction. Island Days 2009 is sponsored by Fox Island Museum, the Chapel on Echo Bay, and FICRA.
Planned activities include: demonstrations of pioneer tools and farm equipment by the Boy Scouts at the museum, cedar shakes being split using a froe by Barbara Buck and assisted by Ward Hunt, and viewing Kent Holder’s antique tractor. Participate in household chores such as wash tub clothes washing, candle making, butter making, textile spinning and weaving, and making common pioneer toys from the period.
Take a pioneer quiz with your children and decide if you could be an early Fox Island resident in 1909 or if your preference is Fox Island 2009. A special Island Days 2009 logo will be given to each family as a remembrance of our week of events.
Mark your calendar now to include this old fashioned Fox Island 'must do' event for your family’s 2009 summer fun.
