Fox Island 9th Annual Garage Sale!

Wow! Back again is the 9th Annual Fox Island Garage Sale! Shop from over 60 homes for books, antiques, clothing, toys, furniture, cars, boats, craft items, imported gifts, house wares, hand-crafted items and much more!

Refreshments will be available at the Nichols Community Center and at the Fox Island Historical Museum. Maps to the sale locations will be available for $1.00 on the day of the sale.

There are three locations to sell at:
Your own Fox Island residence, The Fox Island Museum and The Nichols Community Center.
The cost to have your sale listed on the map is: $15.00 for home-based sales, $20.00 for Fox Island Museum Sales and $25.00 for Nichols Community Center Sales.

Deadline for sign up to be included on the map is 09/10/10.

Autumn Art at the Museum

Celebrate the turning of the leaves and harvest time with our Autumn Art Party at the Museum. Fireside storytelling in the Acheson Cabin, Totem pole projects, gourd decorating and leaf pressings with students from a local science club. Cider and donuts will be available.

Admission to the Children's Programs are FREE to members. For others the fee is $5.00 per child per program.

Christmas Time at the Museum

Fox Island Annual Tree Lighting and Wickline Music Concert
Sunday, December 05, 2010  6:00pm
Join your Island neighbors and friends for a festive evening of fun! Sing carols around a bonfire, meet our 2010 tree lighter, visit with Santa Claus, and listen to the Wickline's Downhome Family Christmas Concert!

Bring a log for our outdoor bonfire and a waterproof ornament to hang on our outdoor Christmas tree. Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 6:00pm, with The Wickline concert immediately following.

Please bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Peninsula FISH Food Bank.

Fox Island Easter Egg Hunt

Hop on down to the Nichols Community Center for the Annual Fox Island Easter Egg Hunt. Hunt for eggs, win cool prizes and have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny (be sure to bring your own camera!)

Volunteers (of all ages!) are needed to help make the Easter Egg Hunt a success!

***Children who hunt must be age 12 and under***The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 10:00am SHARP, so don't be late!

The Museum’s Annual Book Sale is coming soon at the Fox Island Fair on August 13th. All proceeds from the sale go to help maintain the museum. Clean out your book cases and bring donations to the museum….Wednesdays 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. or Saturdays 1 to 4 P.M. Call Jane, 549-2723 for information. Please: NO encyclopedias or magazines. We do take tapes, videos, CD’s and DVD’s.
